The Northern Lights project is developing an open and flexible infrastructure to transport CO2 from capture sites by ship to a receiving terminal in western Norway for intermediate storage, before being transported by pipeline for safe and permanent storage in a reservoir 2,600 metres under the seabed. During the 2025 World CCUS Conference.
The project is widely discussed within the CCUS community and is quickly becoming a blueprint for innovation, collaboration, and execution in CO2 transport and storage.
Our 2025 delegates had the opportunity to get a closer look at the site and hear directly from the team, which provided valuable insights into the technical and organizational efforts required to achieve such significant progress.
