Webinar integrity of CO2 storage sites in faulted sandstone rocks

Webinar addressing integrity of CO2 storage sites in faulted sandstone rocks

Ensuring permanent and secure containment is one of the biggest challenges in subsurface carbon storage.

To address the fault leakage in CO2 storage projects, the EAGE Technical Community on Geomechanics is hosting a webinar “Integrity of CO2 storage sites in faulted sandstone rocks”. The webinar will feature insights from Valentin Guillon (IFPEN), Elin Skurtveit (NGI) and Antonio Pio Rinaldi (ETH Zurich). They will introduce the CO2SafeQuest, a three-year initiative that develops cutting-edge methods to forecast and prevent fault reactivation and leakage.

This webinar is free and open to the public.
