Norway knows where its CO₂ comes from, and where it can be stored. But how do we connect the dots?

A new report from CCUS Norway dives into the challenge of transporting CO₂ from scattered, small industrial sources to permanent storage sites.

CCUS Norway, with support from CLIMIT, has mapped these challenges together with partners from industry, research, and the public sector. The results highlight cost-effective transport solutions and infrastructure needs for CO₂ captured from Norwegian industry and waste-to-energy facilities.

A new report by Eva Halland highlights:

  • The need for coordinated, cost-effective CO₂ transport across the country

  • Importance of public-private collaboration for infrastructure development

  • Progress in industry clusters, feasibility studies, and technology testing

Success depends on clear policies, access to injection terminals and storage, and open infrastructure
